You need to avoid alcohol whilst taking Metronidazole and for up to 48 hours after completing the course.
You should take Metronidazole tablets with or after food.
You should complete the full course of tablets, even if your symptoms improve.
Metronidazole may decrease the effectiveness of the contraceptive pill. You should use condoms whilst you are taking Metronidazole and for 7 days after as a precaution.
If you use tampons, you may benefit from switching to pads.
